0381 Fire helmet from Great Britain. The yellow fire helmet was worn at a fire department of the British naval forces. The helmet was manufactured by Bristol Uniforms Limited in England. Bristol gave the helmet not a name but the number 6216. The same helmet with additional visor has had the number 6225. When the helmet was made is not known. At the helmet ar no notices or any markings available wich showes the production year. The helmet was made in the form of the must used cork helmets. He is not made of Cork but Kevlar. The wide comb does not end at the front He goes into a broad stripe down to the front visor. The edge of the helmet is reinforced with a black plastic. At the edge you might think that the helmet is just as thick as the cork helmet, but the edge is angled downwards. The helmet interior is glued into the helmet, the headband can be removed by pressing buttons. A head size adjustment could be made by a Velcro strip at the back leather stripe. The chin strap, also made of leather, is closing with four buttons. The polycarbonate visor is relatively large, its shape is spherical. The visor attachment is relatively far back attached to the helmet. At the front is the badge of the Admiralty Fire Service attached.
The surrounding black stripes on yellow helmet showes a Leading Fireman. The complete rank marking you see on helmet 295.
The manufacturer Bristol describes his helmet as follows:
manufactured from Kevlar, a lightweight and extremely strong material, this new helmet has been developed in response to demand for a modern Firemans Helmet for use by Public Brigades, Petrochemical Complexes and Offshore Platforms, and in industry.

The helmet is supplied in a single size with a comfortable and fully adjustable headband wich is removable for cleaning or replacement. A detachable lift-up visor in shaped polycarbonate is available, and which is fully compatible with Breathing Apparatures face mask.

The helmet can be supplied in 5 stock colours: Yellow, Red, Orange, Black and White.
