Poland Synthetic helmet (˜1975)
In this collection since: 27.03.2009
0327 Helmet from the national civil defense Poland. The plastic helmet of silver-painted polycarbonate, continu the number of Polish firemen helmets. First helmet No 230 in 1950 replaced the leather and brass generation. The helmet No. 62 made of fiberglass, at 1970, is predecessor of this helmet type. The helmet is actually a fire helmet. He was produced by the company Z.T.S. "ERG" Bieruń STARY and probably used in the years between 1975 to 2000. ERG is a former defense company in Bierun Stary in southern Poland.
The banding of the chin strap is similar in its form to the fire helmets of the GDR (Germany see No. 13). The Leather chinstrap is relatively wide, and, after adjustment the length, only to close by a hook. The inner helmet is similar to the helmets interior DIN14940 but with metal latches and plastic rivets on the helmet bell attached. On the front, there is the international insignia of civil defense (civil defense - Orange background with a blue triangle) attached. There is a star similar to the sky towards the star appliqued. The badge is made of brass by a laurel wreath surrounded.
The civil defense in Poland is based on the Law of 21 November in the year 1967 on the general duty to protect the Republic of Poland regulated.
