Brand-new, Swedish fire department helmet from the store of the helmet manufacturer Brissmann, Halmstad, Sweden. The white helmet made from a glass fiber reinforced polyester mixture, was produced to the EN443 of 1997 in the year 2008. The manufacturer doesn't provide a long-lastingness duration. The inside helmet can be altered in the size 56-62 about a velcro at the headband. The helmet, with 700 grams relatively light, was normally used in Sweden without visor and neck protection, but these accessories nevertheless are available. The visor, fastened with lateral metal holders to the helmet, is made from self destructive carbonate, it melts at approx. 230 degrees Celsius. The fastening is electrically isolated seal screws fastened. The chinstrap is assembled into two point fastening at the same screws inside. Brissmann indicates the resistance of the helmet bowl to outside temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius. There is no information about the maximum temperature in the fire. The helmets are available in different colors: Weis = a fireman Yellow = an officer Black = fire exercise plants Orange red or gray. A neck guard made of fiberglass or leather can be fastened. To this the being cotter pins of the inside helmet fastening are undone and the neck guard assembles between this. An additional cotter pin is needed behind in the middle, a new drilling is required for it.
