Helmet visor to the Italian fire helmet number 168 (third generation). The visor from Polycarbonat is strikingly great, thick and spherical. It covers the face in closed state up to the chin and lateral to the ears. It is striking that the area of the eyes was straightened and thinned down. This serves well the clearer view. The visor is fastened to the helmet by a synthetic material tape which is put over the helmet. It spans by a feather. The tape can be fixed under the lateral helmet edge on the two sides. The two hinges can be attracted, through this the adjustability is settled. The hinges are unlike the second generation made of synthetic material.A spacer in front at the synthetic material tape limits the pulling down of the visor. Wether the Italian company La Lombarda antinfortunistica is also the manufacturer of this visor, is not known. The visor was worn to the helmets of the third generation between 1990 and 2005. |
