0310 Fire helmet of the U.S. company Lion Apparel. The model "Targa" was developed especially for the use on the German market. Lion Apparel shows what, at the moment, other helmet manufacturers still develope. The concept of the helmet is simple. The helmet can be changed by few grips in his use. On the one hand, he can be used at fire, on the other hand he can be uses as a light helmet on technical help. Unfortunately, the adjusting for the head size at the central adjustment screw is a little bit difficult and the changing of the function is taking too long time anyway. The company Lion Apparel nevertheless is on the right way! The fire department Zwenkau (the German sales partner is located here), has tested this helmet.
The company Lion Apparell describes her helmet as follows:
Modular construction with the possibility, carrying out an adaptation to different endangering steps for attachment and distance of assemblies (e.g. for use in the rescue service at technical aids, areas or building fires, etc.). A reorganization of the half-shells to this full bowl helmet is possible without tool within few seconds. The middle comb can moreover be decreased to ensure such a better ventilation. The requirements of the EN 443:1997 are fulfilled both by the base helmet and by the half bowl helmet with an adaptiertem middle comb as well as of the full bowl helmet with middle comb and solid neck guard (full configuration). The solid neck guard has safety lamellae in height of the ears which protect the ears but don't hinder the acoustic perception. The helmet is for the simple and fast mount of speaking set hears practical for everyone brands provided.
It aren't reported about the usability of common breath protective masks but it seems to be possible.
