Leather helmet (˜1890)
In this collection since: 30.05.2007 |
0294 |
German leather helmet at 1890, Prussian form with cockscomb made of bright brass and lateral cockade for firemen. The signpost edging also is made of brass. A chinstrap is appropriate at the lateral rosettes. The badge of the Rheinprovinz is attached at the front. The name of the city of Bad Sobernheim is appropriate additional. These helmets, like also other helmets, were replaced by the helmets or emblems of the Feuerlöschpolizei at 1935. (See helmet no.: 111/189). The inside helmet is in an excellent state. Officers wore the Prussian spot hood with top, the shield of the Rheinprovinz was attached instead of "FR" on the eagle. This shield was found also on the shoulder braids. |
