Fire helmet of the company Casco, type: PF 112 Extreme PF. The helmet, in appearance of the old helmets DIN14940 produced, was developed specifically according to the helmet test of the federal association of the accident registers and the German fire department association. It was aim of the development, creating a high performance helmet for the fire department and rescue use, this one in material choice and conception in addition to the requirements of the EN 443, also everyone should exceed requirements of the test procedures of the mentioned test considerably. Therefore CASCO has especially developed and used a new high performance glass fiber composite material GFK60 into the bowl production particularly with respect to thermal rating. These new bowls are established with an enormously high pressure. The result is an extremely temperature constant and ageing constant helmet bowl with high penetration and ultimate strength at a low weight. The new PF 112 Extreme high-performance protective helmet from CASCO provides optimal protection and wearing comfort for every act of service. Suitable for fire-fighter container training and inside attack operations. Helmet shell Lightweight helmet shell of fibreglass composite GFK60 suitable for extremely high temperatures is age, penetration and impact resistant. Comfort & Safety Very comfortable interior, engineered for physically demanding rescue operations, resistant to high-temperatures Disk Fit rotary adjustment from 53-64 cm – for a perfect fit Accessory attachment Quick mount / release of various accessories with the new CASCO quick attachment system. A visor, helmet lamp, etc. can be conveniently attached in no time at all. Visor system / Accessory adapter The visor system is based on the tried-and-true aluminium-frame principle, equipped with multi-functional accessory quick mount/release adapters. Scratch-resistant visor Safety chin strap • 3-point chin strap guaranteed not to slip off, with genuine leather padding • Press fastener safety lock • Panic hook with “automatic opening” option • Chin strap is flame resistant Practice oriented detail solutions Such as the structuring around the visor for a better grip when wet. Tests and approvals • Fully examined and approved according to EN 443 • Additional heat test according to the requirements of prEN 443:2004, items 4.7 (14 kW/m² heat flux density) and 5.10 (flash over test, with flame 10 sec. at 950°C) Successfully tested in test fires and real fire facilities.
