Vatican Synthetic helmet (˜1991)
In this collection since: 06.03.2007
0286 Fire helmet of the Vigili Del Fuoco Del Stato Della Città Del Vaticano. (fire department of the Vatican).
The manufacturer of the black helmet is the Italian company La Lombarda Antinfortunistica which merged with the company Sureco to the well-known Italian helmet manufacturer Sicor S.p.A. in 1991.
Production year of the helmet made of phenol resin is precisely the Fusion year 1991. (stamp inside the neck protection).
The company Sicor names this helmet today VF1. The inside helmet is bipartite. Near at the helmet bell a synthetic stripes which are plugged in on the outside to a ring which is stuck up at the helmet bell are appropriate, they are connected with a cord inside. The helmet size, size III, 59 as well as the production year 1991 stands on one of the stripes. On a different one once again the manufacturers. Another inside helmet made of leather, bound also inside, make the sweatband. The size customization of the headband is carried out via a velcro. The chinstrap at a 4 point fastening is adjustable by a velcro. Circulatingly the helmet has a ca 30 mm broad, yellow tape, a tape which is approx. 12 mm broad and silver reflecting is stuck on this. At the front the badge of the Vatican fire department. The 55 mm great badge made of full material (brass) is based on the badge of the Italian fire departments. The fire departments of Italy bore a number to the reconnaissance of the town in the circle under the flame for a long time, (for example: Rome 1, Turin 83), crosses are uniformly appropriate today. The fire department of the Vatican has there the badge of the Vatican like it also can be seen one the flag of the Vatican. The badge is screwed on at the helmet. The helmet is already approx. 55 years old in this way. The rearrangement of the helmets to the new generations of the Sicor group was carried out in Italy for the most part in 2003. The Vatican himself has switched over to white helmets of CGF Gallet in the short version.
