German Reich until 1918 Brass helmet (˜1875)
In this collection since: 24.09.2006
0275 The brass helmet of a commanding officer of the federal state Baden or from the region Duchy Baden. The brass helmet in Württemberg form could have been produced by the company Magirus in Ulm. A badge in the helmet isn't existing. See helmet no.: 47. The helmet was worn at 1875. A horse hair bush is fastened to the comb. The horse hair is unspoilt. The Baden helmet coat of arms is appropriate at the front. It shows the Baden heraldic animal, the griffin with sword and the Baden shield. The griffin wear the crown, the text in the foreign currency tape under the coat of arms is called: „Mit Gott für Fürst und Vaterland“ ("With God for prince and native country".) Due to the crown over the griffin and text, the helmet can rather be assigned to the Baden armed forces. Officers in the grenadier regiment no.: 110 „Großherzogtum Baden“ ("Duchy of Baden") for example weared this front coat of arms.
