Liechtenstein Synthetic helmet (˜1989)
In this collection since: 03.02.2006
0257 Fire helmet from Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Helmet from Polycarbonat like the American form. This form was 1970 as successors of the Swiss army helmet introduced in Switzerland and in Liechtenstein also taken. Manufacturer is the company TELED, Neuchatel, Switzerland. Production year is 1989. The helmet has a neck guard made of leather and an eye visor. The visor is likethe German visors for the helmets DIN14940. The color is white. The helmet was used in Liechtenstein at the voluntary fire department of the city of Vaduz. The badge of the city of Vaduz is appropriate at the front. The rank badge of the fireman was first lieutenant, the badge therefore is a flourescent ribbon which one is fastened to the helmet brim with clasps. There is a uniform rank regulation for the firemen in Liechtenstein. The education, the function and the experience are taken into account at the rank. The ranks are adjusted to Switzerland. The Liechtenstein fire department association made a rank regulation for the fire departments of Liechtenstein in 1990. He was supported by the office for civil defense and country supply. The ranks in the different fire departments before were quite differently, mostly there was the chieftain, first lieutenant and second lieutenant only. The ranks correspond to the ones in Switzerland today, merely some were left out. The rank here is First lieutenant (two stripes). One becomes first lieutenant as a commanding officer or 5 years practice with head of operations education. There are ranks following: Team: Fireman, Noncom: Korporal, Sergeant, Officers: Second lieutenant, first lieutenant, Chieftain, major, Lieutenant-colonel. See helmets no.: 4/81/258
