Canada Synthetic helmet (˜1984)

0247 Fire helmet of the Canadian company Safeco Manufacturing Limited. The type is the Chieftain Citation. The yellow helmet from glass fiber is very light. The structure of the glass fiber is still easy to see. The helmet has all in all the form of the American helmets like the Cairns & Brothers 660C etc. After a sticker inside the helmet the helmet is standardized according to the guidelines of the NFPA of 1972. It is entitled on another signpost to read: This Helmet meets the requirements of the Ontario code for head protection of fire fighters. The head size is adjustable from 61/4 to 8. The adjustment is carried out via a conventional push seal. Without accessories the helmet is all of 28 OZ easily. The helmet was produced in 1984 after the stamped examining watch. A neck guard is appropriate in the helmet. The broad chinstrap which is locked by a great velcro on the other side of the neck guard is atypically in the opposite to the American neck guard cloths. A conventional chinstrap can be attached, isn't here available, however.The eye protection visor is authorized of the NFPA an made by tha American company Paulosn. The helmet has circulatingly a thick, black edge protection.
