Cambodia Synthetic helmet (˜1988)
In this collection since: 08.12.2004
0220 Fire helmet from Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. The white helmet, used by the professional fire brigade from Phnom Penh, is made from the American helmet manufacturer "MSA". The helmet has a metal badge instead of a helmet shield. MSA (Mine Safety Appliances Co.) is in Pittsburgh, Pensylvenia, USA. The helmet 1988 was produced and never was in use presumably. The badge resembles to the badge of the Thai helmets no.: 142 and 143. Two stickers are appropriate inside the helmet. The one indicates the helmet as "TOPGARD". Whether it is the type of the helmet remains open. The helmet is allowed by ANSI Z89.1 1969 Class "D." The helmet apparently is provided only for the use by the industry. Also see helmets number 79 and 216.
