South-Korea Synthetic helmet (˜2000)
In this collection since: 22.07.2004
0202 South Korean fire helmet from the city of Tae-baek. The yellow synthetic material helmet is from the company SanChoang. The helmet model is the fourth version wich was in use in South Korea. The name of the typ is the same as the name of the predecessor: Model SCA 1205 A. The helmet was worn until the year 2000. White helmets indicate officers, team ranks wear yellow helmets. Inside the helmet is a special protection layer against blows from the outside, the neck guard cloth is an aluminum coated corduroy cloth. The eye shild form like a face, can be slid into the helmet bowl. The chinstrap is provided with a fast seal. The outer form of the helmet is very unusual. She resembles in the front area to the German helmet at 1980 (no. 146) or the successor models, such as Dräger ( no.: 34), the helmet rather reminds to the traditional American form in the back area. (No. 24). What the identification "J- 1" means isn't known. The uniform badge of all the fire department in South Korea, is attached at the front.
Question: Who knows the manufacturer SanChoang?
