In this collection since: 02.03.2003 |
0156 |
Belgian fire helmet made of cork. The white helmet was produced at 1960 from the Belgian company Levior. The helmet has the same form like helmet no.: 110. Originally the cork helmet seems to have been black. The white paintwork was found well afterwards. At the side there were approx. 12 cm long stripes which were removed, however. The original color can be seen here. The badge of the Belgian fire departments is appropriate in metal at the front. The inside helmet isn't size adjustable, in addition to the head plate, there is an approx. 50 mm wide linen stripe from behind to the front and an approx. 70 mm wide strip installed. The badge of the company Levior is on sewn on this strip. |
