Fire helmet from France. Altered Frenches army steel helmet for a fire helmet. Type: Adrian, M15. The helmet seems to be the direct predecessors of helmet no. 38. Label: Sapeurs Pompiers Landerneau on the typical, French fire department emblem. Another brass plate is on the eye shield, on this stands: Soldat de la Grande Guerre 1914 – 1918. It means: Soldier of the great war 1914 -- 1918 ( first Worldwar ). This badge was awarded for soldiers after 1918 as an award and worn on helmets or at uniform caps. Inside stands: P.L. |
