Federal Republic of Germany since 1949 Metal helmet (˜1972)
In this collection since: 22.05.2002
0123 German helmet since about 1972 according to DIN 14940 however for the interests of the professional fire departments of the country Berlin produced. The yellowly fluorescing helmet with a circulating reflex stripe and neck leather is extended by the traditional cockscomb of aluminum. At the front is on an also reflective, oval sticker the fire station number "2100"- station Schillerpark - stucked on. The number 21 indicates the station, the 00 indicates the professional fire department, 10 would be the volunteers. About this the emblem of the Berlin fire department as a sticker is attached. The helmet has a circulating, thin, red, lacquered stripe. In Baden-Wurttemberg this is the sign for the leader of a fire department, this, however, is the sign for the leader of a engine in Berlin, not for the driver of the engine! Two thin stripes are for the platoon leader, a thick ring is for the head of operations. Further unusual features are the inside helmet, which one consists of leather and nylon ribbons, as well as the chinstrap, this one also has two optional fast seals to the DIN seal.
