Leather helmet (˜1890)

German fire helmet made of leather. Usedly presumable in Saxony at 1890. The helmet has a cockscomb of leather Which is very high (leather comb according to a Saxon regulation). The comb is sewn on on the helmet bell. The front and back signpost is continuous up to the middle. Armed forces chinstrap on brass cockades, orbiting, red Leatherbound and neck guard one sewn. Signpost edgings on front and behind made of brass. |
