Brass helmet (˜1885)

French fire helmet made of brass at approx. 1885. Team helmet from Vieux-Thann near Mullhouse. Unfortunately, the helmet was without internal member, a sleeve is placed on the left. At parades a Helmbuschel could be fastened here. Officers had a nickel-plated, whitish helmet for a Huppe in black more whitely. Teams carried a red Huppe.
French Huppe accompanying to the helmet no.: 25. The parrot feathers in the national colors were carried by music corps or officers. Teams carried monochromely red Huppen for it . Huppe is original.
